Reflecting the steep pines & jagged rocks of the shore, the pond is completely smooth. A thick blanket of watercolor grey stratus clouds are washed across the sky. Hauntingly beautiful, a loon calls out across the stillness. The worn, sunbleached wood of the canoe paddle is rough and dips soundlessly into the water, creating the first ripples across the surface. Each push glides the old boat further across the pond and deeper into adventure.
